Colour and ornamentation of the shards are typical of English Wedgewood porcelain. The manufacturer of the porcelain bird is unknown. Both pieces belonged to the Kunstgewerbemuseum. Founded in 1867 to train artisans and industry, it collected exemplary arts and crafts from all over the world.
