The coat of arms indicates that the tureen once belonged to a duke. Its shards lay in the area where the former monastery used to stand. Around 1600 members of the court moved into the empty rooms and lived there henceforth. The Hohenzollern continually expanded the palace and appropriated surrounding buildings.
