Louise and Frederica

Crown Princess Louise of Prussia and her younger sister Frederica were sculpted in marble by Johann Gottfried Schadow in 1795 at the request of King Frederick William II of Prussia. In 1921 the life-size statue of the two young women was placed in the Parolesaal - the "hall of speech" - in this part of the Berlin Palace.
