As a public town square that is enclosed on four sides, the Schlüter Court is unique. The masterpiece created by the sculptor and architect Andreas Schlüter is not returning as a feudal or even a state ceremonial place. Instead, this new old square, as a freely accessible genuinely urban space, as a living room for the city so to speak, invites the city to find its way back to being a city for the citizens: because they can meet and interact here informally without a commercial, religious or state framework.
