- frühes 12. Jh.
After uncovering the first footprint, archaeologists
Daryl Fedje and Duncan McLaren went on to
document a total of 29 of these 13,000-year-old
tracks. One set of stone tools, unearthed next to
a fire pit on nearby Triquet Island in 2017, is actually
14,000 years old. They are the oldest artefacts
discovered in the region to date. Both of these
finds support the theory of the early settlement of
the Americas along coastal areas.
